The Psychology department in cooperation with Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Sikolohiya held its annual Psychology Majors’ Convocation today at Natividad Fajardo Auditorium in Br. Andrew Hall. The convocation was able to cater the concerns of the psychology students regarding their majors and the new policies in the department.

Matthew Vista, the Executive Vice President of SMS, commenced the program by acknowledging the freshmen blocks present in the event. In line with the aim of the convocation, Dr. Maria Salanga, DLSU Psychology professor, introduced the faculty of the Psychology department. Dr. Salanga also gave emphasis to the policies in AB-PSM and BS-PSYC for 113 and 114 students. Important points were highlighted during the program such as the strict compliance of the psychology students with ID number 113 and 114 to the flowchart given by the department.

The members of the SMS Executive board were also formally introduced by Harvey Yulo, the SMS President. He also discussed the upcoming activities of the organization as well as the allocation of funds this year. The SMS President highly encouraged the students to be active in the organization’s activities as he presented the “Let’s all do HARVEY” slogan which stands for Help, Ask, Respect, Volunteer, Engage and Yes to progress.

The Psychology department ensured that the students were able to have a grip of the important information and guidelines that the students need to know in their stay in DLSU as psychology majors.
