Yesterday, the new set of SMS officers for its respective executive committees were announced. SMS is composed of several committees, all of which include the following:

Throughout weeks of the application process, 63 officers were finally accepted in SMS. Each one of them was screened through an interview that lasted for a week.

With the acceptance of the new officers, SMS' top priority is to cater to the needs and concerns of DLSU's psychology majors. As what SMS President Harvey Yulo reiterates as the core principles of SMS' officers including the executive board, "We'll continue to cater the needs of our members through various activities that would make them level-headed, multi-talented and well-rounded leaders in the global society." 

For this academic year, SMS aims to develop new and innovative projects that would tap deeper into the interests and needs of psychology majors. One in particular would be for next week. There will be a "Body Language Seminar" by Dr. Nelson of the Psychology Department. What will be discussed in the seminar are the explanations of why people exhibit certain body cues or movements when exposed to a particular situation. This project, along with several others, are ensured not only to provide new information, but also to spark discussions on the field of psychology itself.
